This is a 2 letter rating system ( see graph at right ). The grades of brake pads available range from e,f,g through to h rating, each grade being a 20% step up in friction delivery. We offer a pad option for all riders. Semi-metallic: semi-metallic brake pads and shoes are composed of a non-asbestos, semi-metallic carbon kevlar aramid fiber from dupont and have a dot rating of “FF” coefficient of friction (C.F.) At 250° and 600°: 0.44-0.45 Both temps. These provide riders with a long pad life, low dust and brake disk wear, great stopping power and fade resistance, and an economical price. This rating is good for performance applications. These will provide a longer life than similar compounds from competitors, excellent performance and stability at all temperatures, reduced corrosion, and work equally well in wet and dry conditions, and are recommended for utility, mud, and sand applications.
