Continuing with this pedigree, we are happy to announce the new Namura Forged line of pistons. Namura Forged pistons underwent rigorous testing with dyno and engine rebuilders to ensure they met the demands of today’s high-performance engines. Needless to say we are very happy with the results of our efforts and are more than confident that the Namura Forged line will be a new benchmark piston series for the high end MX 4-stroke race applications. While still continuing with a proprietary alloy, we have found that these new pistons outperform many of their Aluminum 4032 competitors in the market. Comparing the two side by side, they both have very similar elongation (%), Yield Strength (kg/mm2), and Tensile Strength (kg/mm2), but Namura’s Forged pistons hold an expansion rate that is actually lower than 4032 forged aluminum.   Namura Forged pistons will also be coming with the signature eatures that you have come to expect from Namura Technologies; CNC machined smooth heads, MOS2 rolled-on coated skirts, and hard anodized crowns. In addition to these, we have also added strategic bridging for improved pin support while still keeping weight at a minimum. All Namura Pistons Kits come standard with: MOS2 (TEFLON/MOLYBDENUM) COATED SKIRTS A rolled-on application process provides a bond that is 10 times stronger than other spray on coatings. Benefits include increased heat transfer, reduced friction, and helping to eliminate cold seizures. MACHINED SMOOTH HEADS Reflects combustion heat and reduces carbon buildup, protect- ing the top of the piston. Some tests have shown this feature can increase horsepower and fuel economy by up to 6%. ANODIZED DOMES: Increases heat resistance and durability; pistons with anodized domes are 75%. NAMURA FORGED VS.
